Canadian Fly Fishing Championships
The Friends of the Grand River hosted the fourth annual Canadian Fly Fishing Championships in June 2006. Eight teams of five anglers from across Canada competed on the Grand and Conestogo Rivers. The largest trout was 18 inches. 886 fish were caught in total, mostly small brown trout.
