2008 marks the year of Fergus’ 175 ^th Anniversary. 2008 är det år av Fergus ^{"175-årsjubileet.} A Fergus 175th Committee was started, chaired by Mary Lloyd, and its members have been working tirelessly on planning a great number of fun events. En Fergus 175th kommittén inleddes under ledning av Mary Lloyd, och dess medlemmar har arbetat outtröttligt med att planera ett stort antal roliga händelser.

From its website www.fergus175.ca we can read about a number of these plans. Från sin webbplats www.fergus175.ca kan vi läsa om ett antal av dessa planer. One event is coming up soon, as a special New Year’s Eve celebration will kick-off this festive year. December 31, 2007 is the kick-off of Fergus’ 175 ^th Anniversary celebrations.The tentative name “Freeze Fest” has been dropped in favour of “First Night” - because that’s what it is: the First night of a festive year. 31 december 2007 är det kick-off av Fergus "175-årsjubileet celebrations.The preliminära namnet" Freeze Fest "har tagits bort till förmån för" First Night "- eftersom det är vad det är: den första natten av en festlig år .
