Groundhog Day: Wiarton Willie prévoit un début de printemps

It is the second of February again: Groundhog Day. C'est la deuxième fois de Février: Groundhog Day. Wiarton Willie has failed to see his shadow, so according to this weather analyzing rodent we are getting an early Spring! Wiarton Willie n'a pas réussi à voir son ombre, afin selon cette analyse rongeurs temps nous obtenons un début de printemps! :-O)

That means that instead of hiding in his burrow, Wiarton Willie has all the time in the world for some driving around town. Cela signifie qu'au lieu de se cacher dans son terrier, Wiarton Willie a tout le temps du monde pour certains de conduire autour de la ville.

This tradition is celebrated in Canada and the USA on February 2. Cette tradition est célébrée au Canada et aux États-Unis sur Février 2. On this day people gather to see a groundhog, also known as a woodchuck , marmot or ground squirrel . Ce jour-là, les gens se rassemblent pour voir une marmotte, également connue sous le nom de woodchuck, marmotte ou écureuil terrain. Why? Pourquoi? If it emerges from its burrow on this day and fails to see its shadow because the weather is cloudy, winter will soon end. S'il ressort de son terrier pour ce jour et ne permet pas de voir son ombre parce que le temps est nuageux, l'hiver sera bientôt fin. If it does see its shadow it is scared so much that it will not come out of its burrow for another six weeks - a period which magically coincides with a prolonged period of winter.
